We had a pizza parlor set up in the classroom. Our budding chefs got busy creating pizza masterpieces for teachers and friends.
The kids are so excited about the chicken eggs in our incubator. Each class we learn a little about each stage in the development of the embryos. The kids love looking at our set of eggs that have pictures of the embryo's developing.
In our water tub we had vegetables, scrub brushes, tongs and the class favorite - ketchup and mustard bottles; which were perfect for filling and squirting!
A garden grew in our texture table.
We had robot builders at our building table that included bolts screws, wrenches and giant blocks.
We had chalk and paper at the light table for some drawing fun.
At our flannel board we had pizza recipes with the corresponding flannel pieces.
The kids were really into building with duplos, wooden blocks and animals this week.
Creation station and play dough kept little hands happy and busy.
We had new and different puzzles and games available for the kids to explore.
Here are a few photos of your kids enjoying each other's company.
On Tuesday the kids got a chance to try out our tricycles on the black top. They loved it! They learned the rules about the bikes and will get several more opportunities to ride them during recess as the weather gets nicer.
On Thursday the kids got to make "pizza crackers". They could top their cracker with sauce, cheese and mini pepperonis.
At circle time this week we learned an awesome song called "Pizza" which was sung to the tune of "Bingo". We also learned the classic "On Top of Spaghetti".
We created funny pizza faces using our recipe cards.
And we continued to learn all about those sweet chicks we are hoping will hatch in about a week.
We had a blast during our community unit with the kids and are getting geared up to make a splash with an ocean theme theme next week.
See you on Tuesday,
Meghan and Christine
