Elephants, Tigers, and Ice Cream! YC - Teacher Sheri

Circus animals and a Big Top tent on the carpet made this week feel very festive and the Ice Cream Social was a great finish to our circus theme!

Our two art activities were inspired by the books Elmer and The Tiger Who Came to Tea. The kids loved dobbing watercolor onto a paper teacup with a teabag!

They also made the most colorful elephants we've ever seen!

The kids played a Curious George balloon game one day and made super long elephant trunks with colorful links the next day.

The texture table was filled with jungle animals and the water tub was an invitation to play with a tea set, tigers, and little dolls!

They stayed busy around the room and we had great weather for outdoor play as well!

At carpet time, the kids loved playing with scarves, singing, and reading stories.

We had so much fun seeing some of you at the Ice Cream Social! We enjoyed an hour of belly laughs, face painting, and ice cream.

Next week, we welcome our favorite eight legged friends! We will have fun with spiders and all the good things October brings!
