Short but sweet week in the YC - Teachers Jelena and Lisa

We had a short school week due to the holiday on Thursday, but we still had a super fun Tuesday!

The texture table full of flax seeds had us scooping and searching for pumpkins, leaves and acorns to put into our trucks or in the water wheel.

The building table was a favorite spot with the colorful tinker toys. Building tall seemed to be the goal!

Gluing and creating never get old!

Puzzles at the puzzle table were well loved.

At the rug, the puppet theater, car games and a well packed mailbox for the journey around the room!

The craft project was squirrels in a tree and the first step was to sponge paint the trunk. We then took pictures of the students pretending to be squirrels eating a nut. This project will be added to their memory books!

There’s always reading, the felt board and magnet faces to create.

I’m pretty sure that we won’t be able to go a school day without our favorite Goldfish song!

On a rainy Tuesday, after reading several books, we played a rhythm sticks song and a game where the kids popped out of a box. Lots of good fun and giggles! (The box game might also  be known as ‘Teacher Lisa gets a work out’)!!

Hope you had an enjoyable weekend.
See you on Tuesday!
