BOO! It’s pumpkin, spider, and spider web time in the YC!

Throughout the classroom was a colorful and fun Halloween/Spider theme! The students painted a web by rolling a paint coated golf ball with a friend or alone in a small box. And of course you have to add some glitter to be able to call it finished!

We made spider webs with contact paper and some colorful yarn.

At the texture table, lots of scooping of corn into pumpkins, cauldrons and goblets in search of bats, spiders, skeletons and ghosts!

The water table had a gutter filled with spiders. Ask your child if they remember the song we sang to go with that (Hint…Itsy Bitsy Spider!).

There was a haunted house for exploring…

a spider counting game…

And lots of bugs, flies and other creepy crawlies to pick up with tongs to work those fine motor skills at the light table.

The students explored the magnet station activity by creating some funny magnet faces!

During snack time, we enjoyed seeing their sweet, smiling faces as we chatted about our snacks and water bottles!

There’s always play dough and play dough treats to sample! Teacher Jelena was blowing out the candles on her birthday surprise (surprise because it wasn’t her birthday:))

We love to dance to “The Goldfish: Let’s go Swimming” song.

Shopping, legos, bags to pack, ball run, kitchen sinks to remove and dress-ups…so much to keep us busy!

Puzzles, resting and reading, too!

The students love to care for, feed, and hold our classroom pets, Scarlett and Ginger.

And recess of course!
