Fun with paint in the YC - Teacher Meghan

This week the kids had so much fun with different painting techniques. On Tuesday the kids painted using magnets. They dipped magnetic balls in different colored paint and then used magnetic wands to move the colorful balls around a sheet of paper.

On Thursday the kids got messy finger painting big white hearts. They loved the feel of the cool wet paint on their fingers and hands as they decorated their hearts.

The kids played two new games this week. The first game was a matching and memory game that featured Chinese zodiac symbols.

The second game the kids played was a yoga game which involved rolling dice to come up with different yoga pose sequences. The kids had so much fun with this gross motor activity.

Play dough and creation station were popular areas this week!

Friends had a blast playing games, building at the light table, reading stories and exploring all of the activities set up around the classroom.

Baby Mabel always appreciates all the love attention she gets from the kids.

We had out drums this week and the kids loved playing these during circle time.

This week during circle time we started reading the kids different variations of the fairy tale "The Three Little Pigs".  We also taught them two finger plays that incorporate pigs. Over the next few weeks we will be doing a ton of fun activities around different fairy tales.

We had such a great week with your little ones. We cant wait for more play, fun, exploration and learning!
See you on Tuesday,
Meghan and Christine
