On Tuesday the kids painted the bottom of a muffin tin with all the colors of the rainbow. Then they used the tin to stamp round colorful dots on white paper.
Our other activity on Tuesday was exploring kaleidoscopes, magnifying glasses and mirrors. The kids had a blast experimenting with all of these items.
On Thursday the kids predicted how many magical green rocks it would take to sink their pots. They then tested their predictions out. This was such a fun way to combine math and science.
Our second activity on Thursday was making rainbow bracelets with chenille stems and Fruit Loops. The kids had so much fun making and eating these colorful bracelets.
On Thursday, Sawyer the pig came to visit our school in honor of our exploration of the fairy tale, The Three Little Pigs. The kids had so much fun meeting and learning about this sweet little pig.
In the water tub this week there was green water, pots, gold, leprechauns and gems!
The kids enjoyed another week with the castle, dragons and knights in the texture table.
Foam blocks made it onto our building table and the kids had a blast building amazing structures.
We added the kids pictures to the flannel board this week and they loved incorporating these photos into their flannel board play.
The Book Nook continues to be a favorite spot to hang out.
Clouds, rainbows, shamrocks and a variety of green items provided for a ton of wonderful art projects at creation station.
Friends love playing together in all corners of the classroom.
At circle time we learned a fun song about the colors of the rainbow, read a few silly books and showed off our dance moves!
We had such a fun week exploring rainbows with the kids. Get ready to zoom to the moon this week as we jump into our space unit!

Meghan and Christine
