A Happy Valentine's Day in the YC - Teacher Sheri

This week in February is always a sweet one! Along with celebrating Valentine's Day, we read stories and learned songs about love, caring, and sharing. ❤

To prepare for Valentine's Day, the kids decorated their special bags with heart stamps and glitter.

The kids were also creative at the other activity table, gluing jewels, sequins, and buttons on the hearts they cut out on the last school day. We gave them a clear coat, added a magnet, and we hope you are enjoying them!

While they weren't busy with their activities, the kids had so much fun all around the room.

They constructed with fort builders and blocks.

Some friends played games.

Others pursued different interests.

They continued to love the water beads, snakes, and fish in the water tub.

The texture table was frequented and they enjoyed filling bowls and boxes with rice!

The Fisher Price toys on the building table are timeless! The children really love to play with the little people and all the accessories.

When Valentine's Day arrived, we placed all their bags at the table and they delivered their Valentines. For most, this was their first time exchanging Valentines and it was very exciting!

At the other activity table, our parent helper made Valen"slime" with the kids! They all got a turn adding the ingredients and, of course, glitter.

They were really into playing with their homemade slime!

Some brought it over to the light table and continued playing with it there.

We played drums at circle time and had fun with this new instrument.

Last but not least, Ginger and Scarlet received some love and the kids loved cutting up carrots for them to munch on.

This class is growing leaps and bounds and we truly enjoy very day with them. We are ready for next week and look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Warmly,

Sheri and Lisa
