Little piggies sure do love to roll in the mud! We finger painted bright pink pigs with muddy brown paint on Tuesday. Many of the kids have been longing to finger paint, so this was a really fun art project. We also had paint brushes available for those who were not as keen on the finger painting idea. :)
Our little scientists gathered around a bucket full of water to predict whether various objects would sink or float. Some of the results really surprised us!
We read the book The Three Billy Goats Gruff, and the kids had fun making trolls using model magic and decorating them with googly eyes, pipe cleaners, bottle caps, straws, and more.
On Thursday, we attached a silly wolf face to a blow dryer and our little scientists had fun predicting whether the Big Bad Wolf would huff and puff and blow an object across the table.
We filled the water tub with water beads and little pigs to scrub clean.
The cutest baby trolls came to visit our texture table.
Creation station is getting busy in the younger class!
The kids had a great time making towers at the light table.
Baby Mabel gets lots of snuggles each week.
We love to play games!
Building blocks provide endless possibilities for creativity.
The kids enjoyed retelling The Three Little Pigs story on the flannel board.
We also had a blast telling the story of The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf on the flannel board and reading the books.
We also ready a silly book called I Love Mud and Mud Loves Me.
We celebrated a special birthday!
The sun was shining at recess this week!
Next week we continue our dive into fairy tales with the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and The Three Billygoats Gruff. See you soon!
Warmly,
Christine and Meghan
