A fun day in the OC!

 What a week it has been! We continued our snow activities and added some penguins on icebergs in the water tub and at the light table. Lots of pouring and scooping! We also had a super cool Polar Bear literacy fishing game at the project table that everyone enjoyed.

The new dress-up items are getting lots of creative use during free play. Many of our friends got a check-up, a well baby check, or a check-up for their pet!

Lots of building taking place around the room…

A fun alphabet mitten matching activity for some literacy and fine motor work took place on the rug.

Writing, puzzles, and lots of stories rounded out our morning.

Stories and a new freeze dance tune.

All the kids did so well with a change to our routine! After free play, we ate snack, went out to recess without the other class, then came back in for a few more activities like marching while playing drums and arctic yoga. They never skipped a beat!

 

We also played a color mitten rhyming game.

Recess was very busy with a follow-the-leader game and non-stop running around.

We capped off the week with a super fun Zoom session on Friday with some of our friends!

We are looking forward to getting back together in the class room next Wednesday. See you all then!
