On Monday the kids painted oceans with green and blue water colors. They sprinkled Epsom salts on them to create interesting textures.
Tuesday they added sand, shells, seaweed and a variety of stickers. There were so many unique and wonderful underwater scenes!
Wednesday they painted their own versions of Rainbow Fish from the book of the same name.
On Thursday we headed outside for some water play! Everyone had fun shooting water through our shark soakers.
Of course the best part of camp is being able to play and play and play together.
Our honorary guests, Scarlet and Ginger, had lots of treats and cuddles.
During our group time we read stories about fish who learned to be friends, pirates who changed diapers, and about some of the many different creatures that live beneath the waves.
We learned several new ocean yoga poses, too. Ask your child to teach you how to be a starfish, jellyfish, crab, boat, sea lion and shark!
We were very grateful for the cooler weather outside.
Hugs,
Teachers Lisa and Jelena
