We heard the happy sound of jingle bells after the kids finished making their jingle bell bracelets! They counted out beads and strung them on pipe cleaners along with bells. You will hear them ring their bracelets at the Winter Program!
They got more counting practice the next school day rolling a die and adding the corresponding number of bows onto a pretend gift.
The kids loved decorating the gift bags they used to wrap their handmade gifts in.
Translucent gems and baubles could be used to decorate trees at the light table.
We had candy themed builders at the building table and they were made into propellers, lollipops, and more!
Speaking of candy, the kids really loved playing the Candy Land Castle game! When they pulled the candy cane lever, a shape slid out and they matched it to a gingerbread playing card - so fun and a great way to work on matching shape and color.
It was especially nice to observe all the interactions the kids were having with one another around the room this week.
At carpet time we read so many good books and practiced new and old songs that we've learned so far this year!
We are really looking forward to next week enjoying school and getting to share & celebrate with you all at the Winter Program!
All the best,
Sheri and Lisa
