Turkeys in the YC- Teacher Meghan

Gobble, gobble! It's turkey time at Small Friends. This week
the kids got in the spirit of Thanksgiving by making paper plate turkeys. One of the highlights of our week was making apple sauce together.

On Tuesday the kids sorted fall shapes by their attributes.

This week the kids made paper plate turkeys. On Tuesday they painted paper plates with sponges and colorful paint. On Thursday the kids added feathers, google eyes and turkey bodies to their colorful plates.

We made apple sauce this week. The kids helped us to chop apples, then we added some cinnamon and water. We ate the apple sauce during snack time and it was delicious!

There were clay pot turkeys and feathers in the texture table and colorful turkeys the kids used for sorting colors.

Lots of creative juices were flowing at the easels this week.

The kids loved playing a hide and seek game with a little mouse and colorful houses at the flannel board this week.

Baby Mabel loves her weekly dose of love and attention.

The kids had so much fun playing with their friends this week. Here is a small peek at all the action.

At circle time we learned a fun poem about forest friends who scampered up a tree and read a story about a mouse and an apple.

We are loving these cold and dry fall days.

We have a short week next week with Thanksgiving on Thursday. We are so thankful for your wonderful children.
Hugs,
Meghan and Christine
