Halloween Magic in the OC! - Teachers Christine and Meghan

We had a fantastic, spooky Halloween week! We had lots of fun making Halloween themed art, playing games, and dressing up together!

On Monday the kids practiced their awesome scissor skills by making tape mummies. These turned out so cute and they loved selecting all different colors of tape and giving their mummies funny hair and lots of googly eyes. :)

On Wednesday the children practiced using child safe knives and carving tools to work on a pumpkin together. We put the pumpkin out in our garden and are excited to watch it decompose!

On Friday we made spooky potions!

We froze a huge ice cube full of spiders, skull rings, bats and other Halloween fun for the water tub.

We had pumpkings, hammers, nails, and golf tees at the building table. This was so much fun!

We played Halloween bingo together.

And had fun playing a counting game too!

The children had lots of fun making Halloween themed cakes, cookies, and silly monsters at the playdough table.

We played with shapes to make jack-o-lanterns at the light table.

Here's a peek at all the fun the chidren had playing around the room together!

The children had so much fun dressing up for Halloween in the classroom!

Circle time was full of Halloween magic. We read a book called The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything and acted it out to make two silly scarecrows!

We danced like ghosts!

And celebrated a long awaited birthday. :)

On Friday we suprised the children with a fun witches brew! Each child poured in a juice box to our cauldron and at the end we added dry ice to make it super fun and spooky! We shared our special brew together at snack time. :)

As always thank you for sharing your wonderful chidren with us! We had such a great week together. Next week, it's all about fall!

Warmly,
Christine and Meghan
