A spooktacular ending to October

We worked on all things pumpkin! From carving to hammering in some golf tees! Some of us touched the slimy insides, others did not. We put the carved pumpkin outside in our garden area to see what happens next.

On Tuesday, the water table had a fun surprise…spaghetti! Lots of scooping, stirring and pouring.

Some very creative creatures were snapped together at the building table.

Lots of “Go Away Monster” game excitement.

Around the classroom: we fed and groomed our sweet pets, Scarlett and Ginger. We watched a puppet show, played with play dough, puzzles, and had all-round fun.

Stories, music and lots of books!

On Thursday, we wore our Halloween Costumes and made a special brew! Everyone was dressed up and ready for some Halloween fun.

The kids made spin art with paint they squirted onto a piece of paper then spun it around in a salad spinner. The final touch was to glue on some eyes and a mouth.

They showed us their festive costumes. Everyone enjoyed our special day!

We were busy in all the corners of the room.

And finally our magic potion…in our cauldron, each child poured the juice they brought from home and we added the magic ingredient (dry ice) for a mystical, bubbling brew!

Rain or shine we enjoy our outdoor time! Swings, hide and go seek, trucks, chalk and playing on the play structure keep us moving.

We wish you a very safe and fun filled Halloween.

We will dive into our next theme of Leaves, Apples, and Fall on Tuesday.

See you then!
