Spiders and Pumpkins in the OC - Teachers Christine and Meghan

What fun we had this week as we switched gears from all things circus, to spiders, pumpkins, and Halloween!

On Monday wthe children received a special trinket for their memory box! They added a sunflower to the box and an ice cream sticker to their sticker books along with a dictation of something fun they remembered from the first month of school.

On Wednesday the children used yarn and paper plates to create a special spider web. It was a great activity for fine motor skill practice!

On Friday we planted daffodil bulbs in the garden outside our windows. It will be so fun to watch these flowers come up in the spring!

We had spiders, cups, and nets in our water tub this week!

We added pumpkins, spiders, and halloween decorations to our texture tub.

There were monster features, bugs, and Halloween cookie cutters at the playdough station.

It was slime time at the light table this week!

The children had a wonderful time making spooky window frames and decorating bats at creation station!

We painted jack o'lanterns too!

We had lots to choose from at the fine motor table this week. From pumpkin puzzles to spider counting, they had a blast!

We had puff ball spiders out and the children got to decorate the spider legs with colorful beads.

Baby Mabel really enjoys her daily snuggles and salads!

We had monsters and bones at the building table this week!

Here's a look at the children having a blast around the room! Friendships are really blooming and the children love to collaborate and play together.

Shape monster came to visit us at circle time this week!

We had fun doing Halloween Yoga!

The children loved listening to Halloween books.

And learning the "Five Little Pumpkins" poem.

We also had fun singing and dancing together!

We also acted out a spider song!

We have really lucked out with beautiful weather during recess!

We are excited for more Halloween themed fun next week!

Warmly,

Christine and Meghan
