My house in the YC- Teacher Meghan

This week we brought back some of the kids' favorite things. We had kinetic sand in the water tub, slime at the light table and giant blocks in the carpet area. The kids finished their awesome house projects and those went home on Thursday.

On Tuesday the kids painted their houses bright colors. This was super messy and fun!

On Thursday the kids decorated their family members which were made out of clothespins and attached them to their houses.

They were so proud of their final product and were all excited to bring them home to share with their families.

On Tuesday we brought out our big blocks and the kids collaborated to make giant structures.

On Thursday we had a backpack scavenger hunt in the courtyard. Different items that the kids might need during summer vacation (sunscreen, a camera, binoculars and bug spray) were hidden all over. The kids had to find these items based on a clue and put them in their backpack. They had a BLAST doing this.

In our water tub we had kinetic sand and dinosaurs.

We had green slime, film canisters, bears and scissors at the light table.

We had monster builders at our building table.

We had all the supplies for making popsicles and ice cream cones at creation station.

Play dough is always a favorite.

We kept the blocks out on Thursday and the kids had so much fun continuing to build with them.

In other areas of the room the kids took care of our animals, played games, read stories and did puzzles.

During circle time we read a silly story about an old lady who swallowed some books, we shared one of our last houses, Andrew came and played his guitar and we sang and danced to some very silly songs.

The kids enjoyed their time in the sun this week!

We only have one week left of school! We have had such a wonderful time with your wonderful kids and are so excited for the week ahead.
See you Tuesday,
Meghan and Christine
