Building houses in the YC-Teacher Susie

We are busy building houses and talking about families in the Younger Class. We have babies, sponges and shampoo bottles in our water tub. We also have a drying area with a hairbrush, toothbrush and diapers.

Our seed table has little bears, scales, windmills and lots of things to scoop and pour with.

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head have made an appearance on our building table.

Our light table has translucent face shapes, yarn and buttons to build a face.

On Tuesday we finished building houses.  The kids have loved this project and have put a lot of thought into what they have created.

Our second project on Tuesday was to teach the kids how to play the honeybee tree game.  You start the game by adding long sticks (leaves) into the honeybee tree.  After that you add the bees.  The object is to remove as many sticks as you can without the bees falling out of tree.

On Thursday the kids got to paint their houses.

Our second project on Thursday was decorating clothespin people that represent the members of our families.  We will be adding them onto the houses next week.

Your kids have such a great imagination.  Here are some pictures of them at play.

We finished having the kids show their houses during circle time this week.  They have done a great job!

As always, thank you for sharing your children with us!
