At our water table we had princesses and frogs, lily pads, scoops and buckets.
At our texture table we had a castle that came equipped with dragons, knights and fairy princesses.
At our light table we had translucent interlocking shapes and fairies.
We had a zoo at our building table with 26 animals to represent every letter of the alphabet.
At creation station we had ducks, sheep and pigs to decorate.
Purple and blue play dough served as the base for a lot of creative expression.
We had a bridge in the classroom this week that the kids loved tromping over like goats, sitting on and pretending it was a variety of things like a "milking horse".
Here is a peek at your kids at play around the room.
On Tuesday we had green giant foot prints with numbers on them. The kids worked on putting the foot prints in numerical order along our path. This activity was great for encouraging teamwork, number identification and counting.
Our second parent led activity on Tuesday was planting grass seed. We took pictures of the kids making their best scary troll faces and then attached these photos to their grass seed cups. As the grass seed grows it will turn into the kids troll "hair".
On Thursday the kids made their own trolls using play dough as a base. They added feathers, fancy toothpicks, google eyes and pipe cleaners. We have these amazing creations displayed in our case in the hall. Come and check them out!
Our second activity on Thursday was playing a castle game. Board games are such a fun way to work on sharing and taking turns.
We had new instruments at circle time this week, vegetable shakers!
In addition to reading The Three Billy Goats Gruff we acted out the story and re-told the story using our flannel board. The kids LOVED acting out the story and we were impressed at how well they remembered all of the story's details.
We had sunshine on Tuesday which was so wonderful! Spring is in the air.
Thanks for sharing your amazing kids with us!
