Our seed table has magical beans, a castle and lots of knights and princesses to play with.
Fairies and translucent builders come to life on our light table.
The animal zoo complete with sounds has been lots of fun on our building table.
On Monday we used liquid watercolor and a straw to blow paint onto cut out houses. We pretended we were the wolf from The Three Little Pigs and did lots of huffing and puffing.
Our second parent led activity on Monday was putting sequencing cards in order to re-tell the story of The Three Little Pigs.
On Wednesday the kids got to finger paint a beanstalk and answer the question "If I had had a hen that laid golden eggs..." These will be added to their binders.
Our second activity on Wednesday involved measurement. The giant from Jack and the Beanstalk left us a note and his footprint. The task was to measure the footprint with unifix cubes and then find things around the room that were longer, shorter and the same size.
On Friday we did some fun projects using our Jack and the Beanstalk theme. First, the kids observed pictures of castles and then they drew their own. After that they added cotton balls underneath them for clouds. We took pictures of the kids pretending to be a giant to add onto their castle.
Our second activity on Friday was planting "magic" beans. The kids scooped soil into a cup, planted 3 beans and gave it some water.
Here are some pictures of your kids during free play.
We had lots of fun sharing our adventures with panda this week!
We had so much fun re-enacting the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff during our circle times. Teacher Susie dressed up like the troll and the kids could take turns trip trapping over the bridge.
We also did some literacy work and story telling with Jack and the Beanstalk at circle this week. We had word/picture cards that the kids helped us put in the correct order.
As always, thank you for sharing your children with us!
