Our rice table was full of dinosaurs. There were plenty of buckets, shovels and funnels for scooping and pouring.
We also had dinosaurs on our felt board.
Our water table was full of instant snow. Penguins, polar bears and pick up trucks along with buckets and shovels provided lots of entertainment.
Rock salt and arctic animals were on the light table. It was fun to see the kids use their imaginations as they played in this area.
We had a penguin habitat on our building table.
The kids had so much fun playing with shaving cream at one of our parent led activities on Tuesday. We had plastic animals that they could include in their play and many of the kids practiced writing the first letter of their name in the shaving cream. As you can see, a good time was had by all!
Our second parent led activity on Tuesday was a math game. We had a set of laminated penguins with numbers on them. The kids picked a penguin, identified the number and counted out the corresponding amount of goldfish crackers to put on the penguin's belly. Then, the kids got to eat their crackers.
The kids were also able to bring their favorite stuffy to school on Thursday. Our second parent helped the kids make crowns, bracelets and necklaces for their stuffed animals.
We also had lots of fun in the room during free play. There was lots of imaginative play, reading, painting and loving on our classroom pets.
As always, thank you for sharing your children with us!
