Fall in the OC-Teacher Susie

We had another great week at school this past week with your children. We had an apple theme interwoven in lots of different ways throughout our classroom. Come take a peek!

Our seed table has green peas and a farm scene. Lots of tractors, gourds and animals are included in this area.

We have lots of great apple concoctions being made at our water table.  The kids never get tired of dumping and pouring water.  Add some whisks and egg beaters and a great time is had by all.

Fall colored translucent blocks were on our light table.

We added cinnamon sticks and cinnamon to our play-doh this week.

Another fun activity that we had out this week was apple letter matching.  We hid foam apples with letters on them around the room.  The kids had a blast finding them and matching them to the corresponding letter on our hanging chart.  They also had fun hiding them for each other.

Here are some pictures of your kids during free play. We added some new games and puzzles to our room this week.

Our art for the week involved...you guessed it apples!  On Monday the kids tore newspaper and glued it onto an apple shape.

On Wednesday we painted our apples red and stamped the letter "A" (is for apple) to put on top of our masterpiece.

On Monday we played an apple letter identification bingo game.

Wednesday we played Sneaky Squirrel.

At circle this week we brought out rhythm sticks for music, used our imagination to create and trace a fall scene on a friend's back and celebrated a birthday.

As always, thank you for sharing your children with us!
